The Plays: Schism in England
back to main plays page
(Calderón; National theatre and Edinburgh International Festival)
This was a translation I first developed at the National Theatre Studio.
It’s an amazing play, and represents Calderon’s take on our Henry VIII and the beginnings of protestantism in England.
It opened in the Festival, eventually, transferred to the Ciottesloe, and I remember making a HUGE amount of money. |
