Jo (formerly John) Clifford is a writer, performer and teacher who lives in Edinburgh. Jo is Professor of Theatre and Bill Findlay Fellow of Stage Translation at Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh, and Associate Playwright of the Playwrights' Studio, Scotland. This year’s work:La nuova tonica di Dio (Italian translation of God’s New Frock) in Teatro scozzese, Intercity Festival and Ubulibri , Milano 2007. “God’s New Frock” in The Sexual Theologian, Marcella Althaus-Reid and Lisa Isherwood, SCM Press 2007. Lucy’s Play, Fairplay Books, Edinburgh 2007. Tchaikovsky and the Queen of Spades to be performed with Russian and British actors at the Nuffield Theatre, Southampton (10th- 26th May) Leave to Remain: a performance/ritual on death and the recovery from mourning.
